Training for peace and sustainable development


As part of the "Youth Bridging differences" project - in collaboration with the partner Diakonia – arcenciel Rainbow Clubs (RC’s) are organizing a continuous training campaign for peace and sustainable development. This training is intended for young people who attend the RC’s in Jisr El Wati, Damour, Halba, Tanaïl and Janah centers. In July 2013 two sessions were given to around twenty RC boys andgirls from the Jisr El Wati center .
During the first training session, young people were introduced to the concept of peace and sustainable development, as well as the importance of their commitment regarding social change through a community service project .
The theme of the second session enabled the young to gain insight on the issues of conflict and its origins, its evolution and various possibilities of intervention to resolve them.
Three sessions will be provided during the month of August 2013, namely, dialogue, negotiation and mediation as a means of conflict resolution.
